japan.ph ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Trip and contact form details — your name, email and the trip details or message you choose to send through our forms.
- Basic usage data — standard server logs (e.g. pages visited, browser type) if analytics are enabled.
- A scrambled connection code — to stop spam, our server keeps a one-way hashed version of your IP address (never the address itself) alongside each submission and briefly for rate limiting.
- No sensitive personal information is knowingly collected, such as passport numbers or financial account details. Please never send these through our forms.
How we use it
We use what you send only to reply to your trip request or message. Submissions are stored on our own web server and forwarded to our team by email. We don't run a newsletter, we don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't sell or share your details. We keep submissions only as long as we need them to help you.
Spam protection
Our forms use invisible checks (a hidden field, a timing check, a signed form token and a per-connection limit) to block automated spam. If we switch on Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare processes limited technical data from your browser to confirm you're not a bot, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Affiliate & third-party links
This site contains affiliate links to partners such as Agoda, Klook, Skyscanner, SafetyWing, and Airalo. When you click these, you leave japan.ph and are subject to that partner's own privacy policy and cookies. We don't control or receive your personal data from those clicks beyond anonymized referral tracking used to calculate commissions.
Cookies
We aim to keep cookie use minimal. Some third-party services on this site (affiliate links, the optional Cloudflare Turnstile check, or analytics if enabled) may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Your rights
Under the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Send a request through our contact form, and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
